I see creating galleries of my paintings to be put up so it will be easier for you to see what is available. And we'll have a sign up box for a "Free Taste" and Updates when new art becomes available.

There will be options for you to propose your own ideas for pictures to be commissioned, or at least to put a bug in my ear about the color combo's you'd love, and examples of the style of painting you'd like. I won't guarantee to be able to read your mind, but I'm sure something interesting will come of it. If it's not exactly to your liking, you are under no obligation to buy it. It will all be part of the Great Adventure - or shall I say the Great Experiment!?

And for coaches and speakers, I will be creating a sales page where you can see how to order these Fine Art Giclee reproductions in bulk (to save you money) to use as bonuses for your early deciders in programs you are offering. You'd be surprised how many people are drooling over Sheryl Brown Art, and can't wait to have one of their own to hang on their office wall to inspire their writing or other creativity.

There's also a healing effect for many people. These are not just some cool works of art - they are each unique expressions of emotion, color and movement. See which ones move you the most. And don't forget, I absolutely LOVE feedback.

Call me at 425 652-1413
or email sunraysheryl@gmail.comSunraySherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10627945751382407947noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3553438820382198870.post-71239860563711495522010-05-17T22:26:00.000-07:002010-05-17T22:50:22.237-07:00"Rainbow Splash"
Here's "Rainbow Splash," which I'd been promising for awhile now. I figured out how to configure some Paypal code to create a button to order art straight off my art blog here, hoorayyyy!! Slightly overdue, I'm sure....

Only thing is, I could only put 10 paintings for you to choose from in the drop down box, but no worries there. You can tell me over the phone or email the one you really want.

Actually, now that I think of it, there is supposed to be a comment box where you can write your two bits. You can still use the PayPal feature - just make a selection to match the format and price you want. And I'll be sure to confirm the art you want before I send it.

Anything you see on my website is fair game. Though I already have 20 selections already scanned and ready to go (and many of those in stock), it is fairly easy for me to take new ones down the road to my repro guy, Scott's place and get them professionally scanned. It would just add some days to the turn-around time.

So, order now, and let me know your experience. Hopefully, it will be smooth as silk! Be sure to leave some comments in the comment box, including your phone number so I can keep you apprised of the progress of your order.

While I do have a fair number of fine art giclee reproductions in stock at the moment, that will fluctuate from one week to the next, depending on the orders I receive. If I don't have it in stock, it probably won't take that long to order (unless Scott is on vacation!).

Come visit me on my Sheryl Brown Art page on Facebook! You don't have to be on Facebook to see it.

http://www.facebook.com/SherylBrownArt (For some reason this link in the post is not working, but the one in the column to the right IS working =========> )

See you there!!

PS Oh, and I do take Visa/Mastercard debit/credit cards over the phone if you don't want to use PayPal.SunraySherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10627945751382407947noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3553438820382198870.post-1314725155752232012010-02-24T16:04:00.000-08:002010-02-24T16:07:37.700-08:00"Sage Rabbit"Here's an action shot for you - check out "Sage Rabbit" as she flies right off the canvas into the land of sage-ness, or shall I say.. sagacity?<img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; I painted all afternoon in peace and quiet!

While thinking about what would make a good name for this new painting, I realized I had used darkish colors, but now here was a sun-like orb. I wanted to leave it marigolden, but still be the moon.

As I pondered on what would make the moon look like a ball of fire, the phrase, "the Moon on Fire" came to me. I eventually finetuned the name to "Moonbeams on Fire."

This particular photo is taken with my cell phone camera after dark. The flash has exaggerated the shine of the paint and the brightness of the moonbeams, so this rendition is not exactly accurate, but it certainly is interesting! Later on I'll take one during daylight hours (which are more scarce these days...!) and post it here.

Don't forget to join my fan page on Facebook to keep up with the latest!

http://www.facebook.com/sherylbrownartSunraySherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10627945751382407947noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3553438820382198870.post-39333530662634778662009-11-03T01:49:00.000-08:002009-11-03T02:18:35.840-08:00www.facebook.com/sherylbrownart Prize Winner Announced!
I am so pleased to announce our winner - Zara Shea!

Zara's name was drawn in October's drawing for a free 8" by 10" Sheryl Brown Art Giclee Reproduction.

This is the painting that has kept her intrigued, and which will soon be on her wall... I am so glad we met and I got your beautiful
creation!

I think it was Thursday I finally made it to the post office,
and then I waited to open it until I was in just the right
time and space to fully enjoy it. Wow! What a gift you
have! I am delighted to know you and to have a piece of
your artwork in my home.

It's going to be hard to put it in my library/consultation
room that I don't use that often, since most of my work is
by phone and in my study where my laptop is. Hmmm....
your painting may be about to spark a whole makeover
of my study! (I usually only paint at home.) My thought was to paint with my ten year old niece, which we did, and very much enjoyed. (Actually, she painted her own complete painting!)

My mom made a comment that she had never seen me in the process of creating a painting. It turned out I had brought an extra canvas, so we were in business!

While I was showing her the colors I'd brought, she commented how she really liked gray (a very good thing when you live in the Pacific Northwest!). I also recalled that one of my brothers had liked some aspects of "Peaceful Mountain," but found the colors on the feminine side for his liking. So gray was the order of the day!

Without having "Peaceful Mountain" in front of me, and not particularly intending to copy it, I am amazed at how closely the lines of the mountains match. No doubt an indelible impression of the mountains I see every time I drive to my office has made its mark on me, and this is coming up in my art!

Order your copy by emailing me at sunraysheryl@gmail.com .

(Soon you will be able to order directly from my repro guy, Scott.)

PS Do you prefer to spell it "gray"or "grey" ???
SunraySherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10627945751382407947noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3553438820382198870.post-86739053672202698172008-12-02T23:43:00.000-08:002008-12-02T23:56:11.783-08:00"Champagne Dreams" and "Moonlit Dreams" await....

"Champagne Dreams" and "Moonlit Dreams" are two of the largest I have painted, being 24" by 36" - you have to see them in person to really appreciate them!

You may order them in the original size on gallery wrapped canvas. What do you see?

I had slathered a lot of paint on a different canvas (the one that ended up being "Peaks and Valleys"), and had taken some of the overflow paint and quickly slapped it on another canvas, working with quick strokes. I noticed I was getting some earth tones - not my usual palette - which really intrigued me. This became "Painted Canyon."

The overall effect of "Painted Canyon" reminds me of an overcast day at the Grand Canyon. Though the colors are very earthy in Arizona, haze in the atmosphere can make the canyon look almost pastel colored. So I coined a term for it - "Earthen Pastels."

"Avalanche" has its own story!

These two are as usual, acrylic on canvas - these ones being 11" by 14" - available either on fine art paper or on canvas. They are available in the original size or as 8" by 10."

Call 425 369-1314 to place an order, or email me at sunraysheryl@gmail.com .

One third off prices apply through December 1st.SunraySherylhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10627945751382407947noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3553438820382198870.post-56665907810979199302008-11-24T01:57:00.000-08:002008-11-24T02:14:23.133-08:00"Water Dance" is here, a new favorite the last few weeks!

Here she be, and ain't she a beauty? I've been promising to show you the newest and latest, and now I have the files available to share.

From all over the world, my Facebook friends have been expressing a deep emotional response to "Peaks and Valleys."

Some of it has been written personally to me, some of it you will find written on my Fb wall. From this I gather that there is hope and healing coming as a result of this painting - what a momentous way to see the blend of my gifts and occupations as both Marriage and Family Therapist and artist. I am both humbled and excited to imagine the possibilities.

"Dancing Mountains" was painted a few weeks after "Peaks and Valleys" in an attempt to portray a lighter emotion but with the same pattern of paint squeezed directly onto the canvas. That, I believe, was accomplished! These mountains want to bounce right off the painting!

I jokingly thought I might call it "Peaks and Valleys 2" but that would be "boring!" Then I thought it looked so enthusiastic I might call it, "Blazing Holiday!" (But I think I'll reserve that name for a future painting that fits it better!)

By the time I got to "my repro guy," Scott, we decided on its current name, "Dancing Mountains." Now I admit, the theme of dance does appear repeatedly in my art titles and I promise you, it will no doubt will continue!!

So, these two are a matched pair in my mind, and in fact, there is a third called "Water Dance" that makes a nice trio. You'll see that shortly.

In any case, let me report on our local art shows last Friday and Saturday - they were a big success, and we had a blast!

We met old friends and made new ones, both from friends bringing friends, and from neighboring offices. Hey even the pizza delivery guy was included, though he was on the clock and could not linger. I counted over 70 original works I had brought to be displayed. (And my walls at home were scarcely looking much emptier!)

And yes! we had another drawing - and another winner! More on that later.

If you are psyched to come see my art in person, we have one more pre-holiday show/party this year, which will be tomorrow - Saturday, November 22nd from 3 to 5pm in Redmond, in the Seattle area.

Call me at 425 369-1314 or email me at sunraysheryl@gmail.com for the location if you are interested.

So, it looks like I'm pretty chatty today!

Look me up on Facebook - you can be my friend by clicking on my profile http://profile.to/sherylbrown .

Then you can join my art group (even without being on my friend list) http://groups.to/sherylbrownart .

And the very latest is you can be my fan!

http://tinyurl.com/sherylbrownartpage - A Facebook Page is a feature Facebook has for folks to promote their business.
