More Winners! - Jacqueline Rivera and Nathalie Ekobo

Our winner for Week Number Two for the drawing is Jacqueline Rivera! Jacqueline is one of my new FaceBook friends from New York.

And for Week Number Three of the August Extravaganza of Fun we have Nathalie Ekobo.

A big hand for both Jacqueline and Nathalie!! They are both lovers of "Chaos - in Color!"

I was privileged to meet Nathalie several months ago at a fabulous workshop set up by our coach, Kendall Summerhawk. Nathalie is originally from France, a country I had the unique opportunity to visit in my last year of high school, awaaaayyy back in 1973!

PS I whipped off a couple new paintings recently, as well as had fun painting with my 10 year old niece!

The cool thing about this party is that you don't have to go anywhere to attend (except to your computer, but then agan, if you called me on the phone, I'd probably accept that)!

Just make a comment on one or more of the paintings (you gotta be honest, though, no false flattery needed or wanted!) to show you were there!

The Evolution of "Chaos - in Color!" the Grand Finale

Here is the grand finale last version of "Chaos - in Color!" as taken by my digital camera at home.

I have had it scanned professionally and reproduced in a number of high quality formats, including canvas giclee and fine art paper. I have a number in stock, and can easily get more made with extra time.

If you want the canvas giclee option, first choose the size you want, either the original 16" by 20" or a smaller 8" by 10" size.

Then decide if you want it on flat canvas to frame yourself, or
gallery wrapped on a wooden frame (this is how I paint my originals).

The bonus of being on flat canvas is being easy to mail in a tube.

The cool thing with gallery wrapped is that the painting extends around the sides of the canvas-wrapped frame, so further framing is optional.

And finally, a more affordable option for the budget minded is an
8" by 10" on fine art paper.

The Evolution of "Chaos - in Color!" part five

We're getting closer to completion! Can you hear the drum roll and feel the excitement??

It has been a challenge for me to learn more and better ways to navigate blogspot, especially in posting multiple photos, placement of photo above or below text, getting the right number of lines between paragraphs, learning just a tad bit of html code, and where I can go past that and use the wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) method! Whew!

And that's a good method for us creative types who prefer less time spent on technical things!! (Where's my paint brush!?!)

If you liked part three better than this one, part four, then you can see the potential dilemma of any artist in knowing when a painting is done - and the sometimes feeling of, "Oh no! I might have overworked it."

I experienced this several times in the process of working on this one, and yet, a few days after I had the panic, I felt more reconciled to the new version. Some earlier versions I quite like, and if I could go back, I might keep one particular effect, and not keep some other effect.

In the end, it's like the forks in the road of life - you have to choose one, and even if you go back and try the other, it's never like going back in time and taking it from there. You're always in the now!

Wow, getting philosophical here - easy for me to do.... Too much fun!
