Something New For Christmas

Just a quick little Christmas greeting to add to this new painting that came into being this afternoon. I've christened it "Earth and Sky."

Sending love and joy your way - may your time be filled with deep and meaningful connections!

PS - If this looks somewhat familiar, you're right! Let me know your thoughts....

What I did Sunday afternoon...

Here's what I did Sunday afternoon.. I painted all afternoon in peace and quiet!

While thinking about what would make a good name for this new painting, I realized I had used darkish colors, but now here was a sun-like orb. I wanted to leave it marigolden, but still be the moon.

As I pondered on what would make the moon look like a ball of fire, the phrase, "the Moon on Fire" came to me. I eventually finetuned the name to "Moonbeams on Fire."

This particular photo is taken with my cell phone camera after dark. The flash has exaggerated the shine of the paint and the brightness of the moonbeams, so this rendition is not exactly accurate, but it certainly is interesting! Later on I'll take one during daylight hours (which are more scarce these days...!) and post it here.

Deb's Delight - Taking in "Peaceful Pastels"

This testimonial from Deb Korte speaks for itself!

"Every time I saw Sheryl's "Peaceful Pastels" in her sample book I immediately let out a huge relaxing sigh. After it having the same effect over and over again, I knew I needed to purchase it. I now have it on the wall directly above my nightstand so when I walk towards my bed in the evening, I see it, and have a nice relaxing sigh as I pull back the covers. What a lovely way to color my dreams. Thank you Sheryl!!"

Thank you so much, Deb - makes me take a deep breath and feel peaceful just reading your words!

Rave Review from Betty Powell!

Hey y'all,

Got this most delightful email from Betty Powell, one of my recent art customers, and thought I'd share it here.

(She chose "Chakra Dance" on canvas.)

Here's what Betty had to say:

I am so happy with your beautiful painting that I feel
my chakras are dancing!

If you could see me, you would see the biggest smile
on my face. I am so glad we met and I got your beautiful
creation!

I think it was Thursday I finally made it to the post office,
and then I waited to open it until I was in just the right
time and space to fully enjoy it. Wow! What a gift you
have! I am delighted to know you and to have a piece of
your artwork in my home.

It's going to be hard to put it in my library/consultation
room that I don't use that often, since most of my work is
by phone and in my study where my laptop is. Hmmm....
your painting may be about to spark a whole makeover
of my study! So I will feel great hanging it in here.

Many thanks for all the ways you are setting my chakras
dancing!

And thank you, Betty, for sharing this cool story with us!

I've Got the Bubbleberry Blues...!

As promised, here is the next series of four 8" by 10" acrylic paintings on canvas. These were painted a few years ago, most on different days.

It's fun finding paintings from different corners of my "studio" to make up a set. (I always did find something comforting about things in sets!)

Top left "Mystic Mountains"

Top right "Berry Bubbles"

Bottom left "Wavy Turbulence"

Bottom right "It's All About Blueberries"

Let me know your favorites so I can determine which will be next to get professionally scanned to join the ranks of my giclee reproductions.

Can't wait to hear your comments!

Cherry Blossoms and Blue Mountains

Here are 4 more recent paintings that may soon be made available as fine art giclee reproductions. I would love to hear/read your feedback to assess the demand for each.

Clockwise from the top left, they are entitled as follows:

Top left "Cherry Blossom Northwest"
Top right "Cherry Blossom Two"
Bottom right "Purple Snow Melt"
Bottom left "Mountain Energy"

Interestingly enough, the bottom two paintings were not painted together. I actually hadn't been looking at or remembering "Purple Snow Melt" when I painted "Mountain Energy," and yet they really look like a pair!

Looking forward to your comments!

"Story Book Days" "Lunar Jazz" "Tropical Moonset" "Brenda's Treasure"

Here's a set of 4 of my recent paintings, taken non-professionally with our digital camera, so they've yet to visit Scott's place.

Though they are small, I hope you can see them well enough to make some comments.

Top left - "Story Book Days" (with Georgia telling me which color next!)
Top right - "Lunar Jazz"
Bottom right - "Tropical Moonset"
